Hub Locations
A Class Driving School offer VORT Testing at 3 different locations in Adelaide. Please note that there are other testing locations but due to time restrictions between tests and distance required to attend these other testing hubs, A Class Driving/Testing Instructors/Examiners will only attend the following VORT Testing Hubs unless otherwise arranged:
- Port Noarlunga VORT Testing Hub
- Park Holme VORT Testing Hub
- Flinders Park VORT Testing Hub
Please note that there are specific meeting points for each of these VORT Testing Hubs.
After the Examiner has booked in your driving test Service SA will allocate the Examiner a test route.
All driving test start at hubs and will finish back at the hub and generally the test will take 60 minutes and the time can vary depending on the road conditions. Below are a list of hubs that A Class Driving School use and the idea is to work out which is the closest to you.

Your Vort
Once you have meet your Examiner at the hub the Examiner will identify themselves and show you there identification. The Examiner will then need to site your permit. if you don’t have your permit with you, the Examiner will not be permitted to go ahead with your test.
The vehicle that will be used must be roadworthy and the Examiner will check the vehicle prior to starting your Vort.
If the vehicle is NOT be roadworthy then the vehicle is not to be used for the Vort.
Roadworthy Vehicle
If you are going to use your own vehicle prior to meeting your Examiner at the hub it is advisable to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy. The Examiner after checking that the vehicle is roadworthy will then explain to you your Vort.

General Drive
The general drive component of your Vort will test your driving skills e.g. changing lanes, turning on and from busy roads, turning at traffic lights, negotiating roundabouts, stop and give-way signs, your interaction with other road users and the system of car control.
To pass a Vort you must demonstrate 5 slow speed maneuvers and in combination with the general drive score a pass mark of 90% or more and not breach and road law during the drive.
Choosing a VORT offers you the following options:
- Before 7:30am or after 6:30pm from 1 September to 31 March.
- Before 730am or after 4:15pm from 1 April to 31 March.
- Not Before 10:00am on Public Holidays or Sundays.
- Christmas Day and Good Friday NO testing permitted.
